Remarks:

Indien er geen orale therapie mogelijk is en er sprake is van een ernstige infectie.

Bij ileus of toxisch megacolon kan overwogen worden intraluminale therapie met vancomycine toe te voegen, via maag/duodenumsonde of klysma 4 dd 500mg in 100 ml NaCl.
