General comments
Behandeling in overleg met arts-microbioloog en/of internist-infectioloog.
*Fluconazol step down na initiële behandeling met echinocandine bij: klinische verbetering, hemodynamisch gestabiliseerde patiënten, negatieve follow-up bloedkweek, aangetoonde fluconazolgevoeligheid.
Niet bij: C. glabrata, C. krusei, of bij patiënten met Candida endocarditis, intravasculaire candidiasis, niet-verwijderde centrale veneuze lijnen of prothese-geassocieerde candidiasis.
Behandelduur van candidemie indien geen aanwijzingen voor strooihaarden: 2 weken na de eerste negatieve bloedkweek.
