General comments

Overweeg antimicrobiële therapie bij patiënten met 3 of meer van de volgende klachten:

  • verkleurde afscheiding
  • ernstige (unilaterale) pijn gelaat
  • temp >38 graden
  • verhoogd CRP/BSE
  • overweeg tevens antimicrobiële therapie bij ernstig ziek zijn, bij verminderde afweer, koorts > 5 dagen of opnieuw koorts na een aantal koortsvrije dagen

Bij ernstige sinusitis of chronische sinusitis: behandeling in overleg met arts-microbioloog of internist-infectioloog
