General comments

Indien gentamicine vaker dan één keer wordt toegediend:

  • overleg met consulent medische microbiologie of internist-infectioloog
  • controleer een dalspiegel voorafgaand aan de 2e gift

Gentamicine: bij obesitas (=BMI>30 kg/m2): om toxiciteit (m.n. nefro- en neurotoxiciteit) bij obese patiënten te voorkomen, doseer op basis van het “adjusted body weight”
