General comments
Indien Gram-negatieve staven gezien worden in het preparaat van de liquor starten met meropenem 3 dd 2000 mg iv tot identificatie en resistentie bekend is.
Stop antibiotica na 5 dagen bij negatieve liquorkweek
Bij S. Aureus en Gram-negatieve staven volstaat een therapieduur van 14 dagen, bij coagulase-negatieve stafylokokken en Cutibacterium acnes volstaat een therapieduur van 10 dagen.
