General comments
In alle gevallen van invasieve groep A streptokokken-infecties, puerperale koorts en/of sepsis moet binnen 7 dagen na het contact met de indexpatiënt profylaxe worden aangeboden aan de huishoudcontacten*.
*Huishoudcontacten: Een persoon die meer dan 24 uur het huishouden heeft gedeeld met de index vanaf één week vóór het ontstaan van de ziekte bij de index tot 24 uur na de start van de behandeling met antibiotica
